Performance and installation.
Two identical rooms in remote locations are seen from three sides, and reproduced in the other space by video projections. The two virtual rooms are superimposed on each other in three dimensions. The public is free to walk around, and enter the physical room in order to occupy the combined space along with performers in the other location.
The doors to the two rooms were linked electro-mechanically so that a door opening in one space would be mirrored exactly by the door opening in the other.
The installation was used for a symposium on telematic theatre, with the audience and speakers in London combining with performers and the main speaker in High Wycombe.
Produced at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and Bucks New University, 2014.
